Boy, what can we say? The shores of Pambula Beach sure are absolutely beautiful and all within walking distance from Discovery Parks – Pambula Beach. It’s no wonder our guests queue up to visit this popular park!
Ben Boyd National Park wraps around the park and securely frames Pambula Beach which is why it’s such popular real estate for resident kangaroos, wallabies, various reptiles, and birds. Gnarly, old and majestic Banksia trees sing praise to the history of the area as they twist and bend at will, shedding seed pods after the birds have long moved on. Walking tracks weave through the National Park, they may be rocky, steep, dusty or damp…but never boring. Guaranteed you will see something new each visit.
Jiguma walking track is a picturesque walk along the cliff top which weaves it way up and over the headland starting south on Pambula Beach, through to Lion Park Beach, onto Pambula River mouth and beyond. Various viewing platforms showcase the pristine, beautiful Sapphire coast and offer a great location to view whales and their calves as they migrate south each year or dolphins frocking amongst the waves.
If you’re holiday plans involves more relaxing, then walking Pambula Beach is literally on our doorstep. There is no such thing as too much white sand and crystal-clear water, there is so much beach you’ll feel spoilt for choice. If you’re feeling up to it walk the 5 km beach to seaside Merimbula situated on the northern end. This scenic walk will leave you feeling extremely refreshed and inspired. But, don’t forget about the 5 km walk back again – take a pit stop and grab a coffee to power you through to the end.
Nestled on the inside of Pambula Beach’s southern headland and just 1km from our park, is the securely sheltered Pambula River Mouth. Connecting the two is a scenic and elevated walking track, and trust us when we say, once you’re there you will not want to leave! The water is calm and crystal clear throwing an amazing blue/green hue against the backdrop of red rocks. This area is ideal for spend quality and safe time with the kids.
